This weekend on MY TUBE

Friday night is usually a wasteland of television...but being that its still the May sweeps the networks' usual superfund site of Friday night viewing has a coupla things worthy of mention. First of all- Tonite is the debut of NATIONAL BINGO NIGHT. Yes, America- Since its only fitting that the Canadians have Hockey Night in Canada where the entire nation watches the national sport- we have NATIONAL BINGO NIGHT where the entire nation can gather around the television, take out our collective dentures, put on some fresh Depends and wait for the resonating sounds of B-2 or O-69. Its on ABC- probably will be the number one show of the night for the over 70 crowd.
Speaking of blue hair and blue blockers- tonite we also celebrate the most trusted man there was on TV news. Uncle Walter helped guide America through the Kennedy assassinations, space exploration, Viet Nam, Watergate, and- oh yeah- we can't forget YOU ARE THERE! Walter Cronkite At 90 is on CBS. This is on the heals of CBS celebrating Bob Barker (at 80) and his impending retirement. What's next you ask? Simple-... National Bingo Night.

Also this weekend- Sci-Fi has a HEROES Marathon. Its a chance to catch up on 21 hours worth of episodes of the hit sci-fi drama. That airs on Saturday. Peter gets a chance at romance with Molly Ringwald on FAMILY GUY (FOX SUNDAY 9pm).

Steve Van Zant says that the only way there could be a SOPRANOS movie is if its a prequel. The reason, he says, is because of the violence that takes place on the final three episodes of the show. Sunday night is the third to last episode on HBO... so that must mean at least another major character gets whacked. I've got Paulie in my pool...howabout you? We'll find out at 9pm.

Finally- Elvis Costello is the musical guest on LETTERMAN tonite.

My Tube Tuesday

OH BOY! Medium will be back. NBC has announced that Patricia Arquette (she talks to DEAD PEOPLE) and the rest of the Phoenix District Attorney's Office will be back to solve the absolute most heinous of crimes that plague that southwestern metropolis next season. Its fun to watch dead people be seen by only her... but I ask: When does she EVER get a full night sleep? And how does she know the difference between the living and the dead?

Tonite on one of my faves- Bernadette Peters guest stars as a judge on Boston Legal (10pm ABC). I actually find myself saying out loud: DENNY CRAIN! DENNY CRAIN! and...should I ever need a lawyer- to hell with Stephen L. Miles- get me ALAN SHORE!

American Idol (8pm Fox)- down to the final four with Barry Gibb as the special musical coach. If you love the sound of a man with his testicles in a vice well here's your night. I can't wait to see Lakisha and Barry together... mmmmmm! How Deep is Your Love? Tragedy.

George Lopez (8pm ABC) guest stars Jerry Springer. Look for transvestites who want George's love child.

And finally House (9pm FOX) has Piper Perabo guest starring as House's love interest. Not that I care...I just love that name: Piper Perabo. Sounds like a BeeGees song title.

Until tomorrow...remember- this is only for those who like to watch!

Who's da clown???

This a recent photo of actress Melanie Griffith.......WOW! she's not ageing gracefully.

Congratulations to Mike Aronin...KMS' favorite comedian, last nite he was on CBS' "King of Queens"-----his line....."thanks"- (the script originally read "Thanks....I played the handicap card"----------but the line it was cut.

ON THE NEXT EPISODE OF KMS:

Actor Rutger Hauer

Author of the new book “Crazy Bosses”

My Tube for Monday

Look for at least two more seasons of Lost...or so they say. The folks who prognosticate television say the writers and producers need that much time to tie together all the story lines into one big happy ending (my apologies to any Asian spa that may also supply a happy ending)

ABC, on the other hand, says hold up on making snowstorm on mountain! They're non-committal as to the amount of years Lost will still be around.

Lost? Me too. I love the show but I'm starting to need a score card to keep track of the comings and goings and whys and wherefores. AND- Enough of Locke's brooding over his old man stealing a kidney and pushing him out of a window. My old man chased me down a street with a hammer. And I deserved it.

But I digress....

Tonite- Dancing With the Stars (8pm on ABC). OK- enough of Billy Ray Cyrus. Don't break a leg...your Achy Breaky Leg. Vote off the sonofabitch already. Hanna Montana be damned!

Our buddy Mike Aronin makes a cameo on King Of Queens (CBS 9:30). He plays a chiropractor who likes to practice on himself. (little inside joke at Mike's expense) In reality...Mike gets typecast for tonite's show. Sounds funny on paper!

Finally- 24 (9pm on Fox). Fonzie is in mid-flight over the shark tank as Jack continues to hunt for the Chinese guy who tortured Audrey. That's the problem with Chinese...an hour later your hungry for more 24. Unfortunately that hunger is for the falafel eating Fayed instead of Combo #5 Chang. They ended the first storyline of the season WAY TOO SOON!

For those who like to watch..... We'll change channels tomorrow.

Million Dollar Couple?????

Eric and Danielle from CBS’ The Amazing Race called in (fresh from their million dollar victory on Sunday)---- they dated during the show……but broke up after the show.

Tattoo artist Darren Brass from Miami Ink called in to preview the new season on TLC.

Laura LeBlanc from Groove City Fest was in studio to talk about the
Jazz & Blues Festival in Cambridge this weekend.

ON THE NEXT EPISODE OF KMS:

Another qualifier to win a trip to Los Angeles (courtesy of Diet Pepsi)

MY TUBE this weekend

After SEVEN (count 'em) SEVEN seasons...the Gilmore Girls is no more. TMZ.com is reporting this sad event in the world of emasculated men and the women who control them. Good thing Ugly Betty remains for those who don't get Oxygen or Lifetime.
Anyhoo...some good stuff this weekend:

1) 20/20 on Friday. The DC Madam (Deborah Jeane Palfrey) gets her 15 minutes of fame extended by naming names. ABC should run a crawl at the bottom of the screen like ESPN.

2) The Kentucky Derby is on Saturday as is De La Hoya vs. Mayweather in boxing. (NBC and HBO Pay Per View respectively). I hope a long shot wins and there's a knock out in the first round. I like peeing in your cheerios too.

3) Cold Case on CBS Sunday. I don't know why I still watch this show. Maybe its because some day Lilly may actually look like she has blood pulsing through her veins. Really. Lilly of Cold Case makes Lilly of the Munsters look sunburned. Its the 4th season finale and the whole crew gets taken hostage. If you close your eyes you can see Fonzie jumping a shark off in the distance.

4) Finally...Also Sunday its the Amazing Race All-Stars Finale. We'll talk to the winners on Monday. Wasn't that Charla and Mirna I saw cruising in a Maserati on 695? hmmmmmm.
You go girls!

On tonite's MY TUBE-

I don't know a soul who watches Grey's Anatomy..but if you do...tonite is must see night. (Sorry to use your slogan NBC) As my buddy Shamrock would say: "You see...Tonite is the special two hour episode that's the premise for the new Grey's Anatomy spinoff." Addison leaves for L-A to spend time with her med-school buds who work at a new-age wellness clinic. How come Doc's on TV who have lotsa unprotected sex (Do you ever see a condom rapper?) never end up with an STD? Just curious.
My fave shows that get "series recording" status on my dvr:

1) Survivor (Look..I've got money riding on it. If you need to watch REALITY shows find a way to start a pool. Its a great money making opportunity. If a pool doesn't work- may I suggest a drinking game. For Survivor I enjoy a cool beverage every time you see a body part get pixilated during a challenge.)

2) CSI (The original gets better all the time and we get to see them literally blow the dust of Ally Sheedy)

3) My Name is Earl (steal your Grand Pappy's TVGUIDE 'cause this episode is in SMELL O VISION and the scent card is inside this week's mag. Oh boy. I love a good gimic)
